Ark8 is an e-commerce platform for merchants to create stores, manage products, receive orders, coordinate delivery, and operate customer workflows. This policy applies to merchants, staff users, storefront visitors, customers, and people who contact Ark8.

Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to operate the platform, support merchants, process commerce workflows, and keep accounts secure.

• Merchant account information such as name, email, phone number, shop name, business details, and staff access.
• Customer and order information such as customer name, phone, address, cart, order items, delivery details, and support notes.
• Payment and subscription information such as billing status, transaction references, gateway metadata, plan history, and invoices. We do not intentionally store full card details.
• Usage, device, log, cookie, analytics, and security activity information.
• Support communication such as messages, attachments, issue history, and feedback.

How We Use Data

We use data to provide and improve Ark8 services, operate storefront and checkout workflows, protect the platform, and comply with legal or operational duties.

• Create accounts, shops, products, carts, checkouts, deliveries, payments, orders, and notifications.
• Provide merchant support, troubleshoot issues, improve performance, and analyze product usage.
• Detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, service misuse, and security incidents.
• Maintain records needed for billing, audit, tax, dispute, compliance, and legal obligations.

Sharing & Processors

We share data only where needed to operate Ark8, provide integrations, support merchants, protect the platform, or comply with law.

• Hosting, infrastructure, storage, monitoring, analytics, and customer support providers.
• Payment gateways, subscription processors, courier or delivery integrations, and email/SMS/notification providers.
• Legal, regulatory, or law enforcement authorities when disclosure is required or reasonably necessary.

Merchant Responsibility

Merchants are responsible for customer data they collect through their stores. Merchants must use customer data lawfully, avoid misuse or unnecessary export, protect staff access, and honor customer-facing commitments.

Data Retention

We keep account data while the account is active and retain order, payment, delivery, support, audit, tax, dispute, and security records as needed for legitimate business and legal reasons. Deletion requests may require ownership verification and may be limited by legal or operational retention needs.

Ark8 applies reasonable technical and organizational controls such as authentication, access control, secure transmission, monitoring, and operational safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights & Requests

Children

Ark8 is not intended for children or minors to create merchant accounts. If we learn that a minor has provided account data without appropriate authority, we may remove or restrict the account.

International & Third-party Processing

Some service providers may process or store data outside Bangladesh depending on infrastructure, integrations, or support needs. We use providers that are appropriate for operating the platform.
